Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited.,

DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

We have to thank you for your courtesy to our Mr Cecil Allen during his call on you last week, but regret to hear from him that the "Allen" pistons which we supplied to you for trial purpose are not quite satisfactory, in as much as the bottom or scraper ring runs out into the counter bore of the cylinders.

Our Chief Designer is now going fully into the matter, and we propose to write you again with a view to securing a satisfactory trial.

Yours faithfully,

For ALLEN & SIMMONDS (Reading)
Ltd.

(Sgd) B. Tull.

Secretary.
