Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 13/h.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 28th February, 1944.

Dear Devereux,

We have got permission from the Board of Trade to build a few prototype motor-cars, and with the possibility of taxation by weight, in the background, I want to get as much work on light alloy as applied to automobiles going forward as is possible under the present circumstances.

In certain cases, this might consist of making Duralumin forgings from existing dies to get some tests going.

Are you interested in helping me, and if so, whom in your organisation should my representative contact?

Yours sincerely,

W. C. Devereux, Esq.,
High Duty Alloys,
SLOUGH.
