1128. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}7/MH.{M. Huckerby} 8th. February, 1939. Lt.Comdr. P. Du Cane, Vosper Ltd., PORTSMOUTH. Dear Du Cane, On considering the official verdict with regard to our Marine Power Plant we are not disheartened, but are making excellent progress. With regard to the Dieselised version, one of our problems is the quality of fuel oil which we shall be able to rely on. The reason we are interested in this is that it affects the combustion chamber, because if the fuel is poor we shall have to use a very high compression ratio. Any information you can give me on this subject or instructions as to how to contact the right person will be very gratefully received. Yours sincerely, | ||
