To:- Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 400(d) Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}11/DK.23.3.41. 9-B-V.{VIENNA} Thanks for lending me this car to go to Oxford. I understand that the sunshine roof is of considerable interest. It did not let in any water even though I left it facing down hill all night in the rain. It does, however, rattle pretty well continuously. There is quite a tidy water leak at the middle of the top of the windscreen, which after running over the scuttle rail distributes itself evenly over the driver and passenger. I do not think I am the only person in the world who will consider a petrol tank that can only just get you to Oxford and back, exceedingly mean. The weight saving argument is not very convincing as the owner who is out for maximum performance need never put more than three pints in the tank at a time.
