EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}9/JH.

29th. November, 1938.

Wellworthy Piston Rings Ltd.,
Lymington,
Hants.

For the attention of Mr. Maynard.

Dear Sirs,

With further reference to the A.C.9 material recently supplied by us to Messrs. E.R.A. and in answer to your letter ref. WM/EHF.21125 dated November 25th.

These were supplied as cast, but heat treated and tested, ready for machining, a little more surplus metal than usual was left on, as we had to use a die which was a little large for the size of bearing required. The actual dimensions to be produced after machining were -

Length 2.375".
Outside dia. 2.375.
Inside dia. 2.00.

We shall be glad to have your suggested charge, as our Costs Dept. wish to clear this matter.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
