B-11 Unit for T.T. 1935. Herewith specification of the above unit for this year's race :- (1) Main bearings in whitemetal, Nos. 2,3,5 & 6 grooved to Ex.19004/5. New 3-ply nickel gasket required. Silver soldered gallery pipe as last year. (2) Crankshaft and spring drive - standard production. (3) Drilled up conn. rods in lead bronze with bolts and nuts to EB.2220/2. (4) Aerolite pistons having .005" clearance. (5) Cylinder head Ex.17749 of 75 c.c. as in Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}3/KW.13.6.35. (6) Inlet valve Ex.17456 ) Standard valve springs with Exh. valve Ex.18604 ) latest enamelling. (7) Induction pipe 1 5/8" bore, fitted with 2 1 5/8" S.U's to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}16/KW.13.6.35. (8) Standard camshaft EB.1085. (9) Large Oil Pump. (10) Water Pump as last year (RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/WSC.{W. S. Cassel}4/EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}31.8.34.). (11) Flywheel & Clutch, late production LOP. GB.538. (12) Gearbox and servo as last year.
