EASY AND SILENT CHANGE.
--------------------
You are quite right; we intended to go
on with the synchro mesh for P. 2. I am not at all
definite whether we settled that Derby should do the R.H.,
and DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/HDY.{William Hardy} do the L.H., but I know that I thought we must
do the L.H., as it would need some careful work which
might not get enough attention at Derby.

The epicyclic unit we were examining was
intended to be for P. 2., and to give silent gears and
synchro mesh on all forward speeds. It will however
take too long to get right so we must make P. 2. both right
and left hand the same as the 25HP., and the more novel
work we are engaged upon will stand until this is done.

Derby can have a trial at the R.H. while
we are doing the L.H., with exchange of drawings from time
to time. We shall get both right fairly quickly now we
have a good model in the 25HP.
