If it is desired to do away with the present lubrication method, we consider it would be infinitely safer to have a definite means of lubrication by hand rather than rely on the uncertain method of how the oil is syringed into lubricate the clutch.

We suggest that a hole should be drilled through the clutch shaft between the engine coupling and the clutch trunnion. Into the hole we should fix a short tube so that any oil put in there with a syringe could not run out. This would provide a positive and efficient means of hand lubrication for the spigot. It would be easy to lubricate this at the same time as the engine coupling or clutch trunnion was being oiled.

This is a similar method to what we are using on the 20 HP., only in that case it is a ball bearing we have to lubricate.
