Ref. 104(iv) Z 581 Re Suggestion of D.Cole driver to Mr Ogden Codman. TBB7/L9112. Mr Cowen 9/1/13. "B" This matter has been put before the Technical Committee, and their opinion is that the pull-on type of lever is more correct than the push-on, owing to the inertia effect of the driver's weight when the car is decelerating. With the push-on type of lever, the driver has no power or control on the hand lever in the event of his back leaving the back of the seat, such as would occur in the case of an incorrectly adjusted brake. Perhaps you will thank Mr Cole and advise him that this is the opinion of our Technical people. I have only dealt with the technical matter contained in Mr Cole's letter, and assume you are dealing with the remainder. attach Mr Cowens note 23/11/11 and Mr. Cole's letter | ||
