COLUMN MOVEMENT TESTS. BUMPING RIG - MOVEMENT MEASURED AT COLUMN THRUST RACE. 2" CAMS. 108 R.P.M. BUMPING FRONT WHEELS. CONDITION OF CHASSIS. No front axle dampers fitted. (1) Complete dash and column support as shewn in sketch. As (1) (2) Steering wheel removed. As (2) (3) Side 'B' of triangular column support removed. As (1) (4) But dashboard supports 'A' removed. As (4), but with radiator tie rod disconnected. COLUMN MOVEMENT. Bumper running. Vertical.
