X4553 BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/119.5.32. C. to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} BENSPORT FRAME AND TRANSMISSION LAYOUT. We send herewith N. sch. 3477. shewing the Bensport frame, springs, axles, and transmission layout. It will be noticed that the frame shape in elevation has been kept the same as Peregrine, aft of the battery cross member, to enable all parts aft of this point to be common to both cars - e.g. petrol tank. We shew a new front axle, but for the first car the Peregrine axle can be used, raising the car .5" in front, if it will expedite the work of getting something on the road. Please supply us with 2 prints of this scheme. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
