This feature was instructed for Phantom II N-2 series R.{Sir Henry Royce} & L.H. chassis in memo. BY/CS4/IG.11.9.30, 20/25 HP. chassis, 1st chassis in "T" series, memo. BY/CS5/IG.28.1.31, and of course all Bentley chassis.

We have indicated on blueprint herewith in red how the air enters the radiator when the vacuum valve is open.

With reference to the question of patenting same, it is requested in memo. E.3/M.11.9.30 which accompanied the design Lec.2817 that you protect same in R's name.

British Patent No.357779 dated 24.9.30, allowed to lapse, no foreign application.
