Dear Sirs,

Spring Interlays.

Some weeks ago you sent us a sample of a graphitic leaf spring interlay.

We are wanting to decrease the internal friction of a Bentley low rating front road spring, and we think your interlay may be useful in this respect.

For test purposes we would like one standard Bentley front spring fitted with interlays. Will you please inform us how much increase of thickness we shall have to allow for in the spring clamps; and whether you would prefer us to build the spring up with interlays, or do it yourselves at your works.

We enclose a blue print FB. 889, and hope to hear from you shortly.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
