We do not know exactly what the result of your investigations were in connection with nickel - cadmium starter batteries, but batteries which have actually been manufactured and put into service by our Associated Company in Germany bear the following relations of dimensions to capacity: (1) 6-volt, 64 ampere hour at the 10 hour rate of discharge - 8.85" x 7.125" x 9.5" high. (2) 6-volt, 74 ampere hour at the 10 hour rate of discharge - 10.25" x 7.125" x 9.5" high. (3) 12-volt, 42 ampere hour at the 10 hour rate of discharge - 12.25" x 7.125" x 9.5" high. (4) 12-volt, 53 ampere hour at the 10 hour rate of discharge -14.5" x 7.125" x 9.5" high. (5) 12-volt, 64 ampere hour at the 10 hour rate of discharge - 20" x 7.125" x 9.5" high. You will observe upon comparison, that the above capacities and sizes do not vary very greatly from the corresponding voltages and capacities of lead acid batteries, and we should be pleased to have your comments as to whether these figures compared with the data of your own findings which you refer to.
