Request to produce an experimental fan set with alternative higher speed ratios based on Mr Clarke's request.

With reference to Mr Clarke's request for further speed ratios in connection with the EAC.Fan, please produce one experimental set of each of the arrangements shown on Scheme 633 attached. According to the Whittle Belt Catalogue contact point the present std: ratio is 1.12 to 1 - on the same basis we have calculated the 1.2 and 1.3 ratios. As an alternative you may try a 1.2 to 1 ratio by using Spring Drive Pulley E.73463 in conjunction with the present std: fan pulley. Will you please make the necessary fan belt length adjustment.
