Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} (1) Petrol pump push rod mods. to ECD.1257 and run with AC. pump feeding carbs. (2) 3 con. rods out of W.III No.2. unit modified in accordance with our memo. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}1/MH.{M. Huckerby}20.7.39. and fitted with latest Vandervell 3 layer big ends which these people have promised to send. Remaining 3 rods should be fitted with new R.R. big ends. (3) Inter stage cylinder head at 7.0 : 1C ratio is approved by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/F.Potts. (4) Up to date pulleys fan and belt. (5) .4 carbon push rods and note for wear obtain soft ones if possible. (6) Valve springs on inlets to EB.5106/7/8, EB.5053/5. (7) Duplex induction system if available. (8) New camshaft and distributor drive gear. Run endurance for 50 hrs, under conditions as for B.80 No.3. B.60 No.3. Unit. Complete trial sloping valve head as opened out to lengthen combustion chamber. Intermediate stage head to be removed from 3.B.50. and .050 machined off face to bring to 7.0 : 1 C.R.
