Y8724 To DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/LG3.1.27. 10-EX CAR. Y8430 With reference to EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/30.12.26. We have fixed the wheel on the column in the exact position indicated on your LeC. and find that there is just sufficient clearance for the hand between the wheel and the body with a 18" wheel. However we believe that the coachbuilders could undoubtedly increase this clearance a little and are arranging to send our adaptor down with the car so that they may put it in position on the column and work to the actual clearance with the new column. We appreciate the remarks made in your EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/1.1.27, it is the penny-wise policy which is likely to spoil the whole job. We will arrange that 10-EX will be at Barkers before your visit on Thursday afternoon next. We do not wish you to proceed with the instrument board although we shall probably arrange the revolution counter ourselves. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
