With regard to the question of the clearance of the propeller shaft and the slotted crossmember on rebound, we have now had an opportunity of testing this on a chassis on the road, and we find that the propeller shaft will hit the crossmember when travelling at 55 miles per hour over a culvert bridge on the Willington-Barrow road.
