To enable this to be entirely suitable for replacement in any standard wide brush machine, we require an alteration of the commutator position in relation to the armature of 24°. The commutator is virtually to be turned through this angle against the direction of rotation which direction of rotation is clockwise when the armature is viewed from the commutator end. EFC.
