With reference to the attached, On the 6th. inst. we sent Springfield a cable stating that we anticipated being able to despatch from Derby a set of model parts and complete drawings in a month. We still hope to be able to be keep that promise. We have been carrying out tests continuously in connection with this job using temporary hand-made pieces. We have now received complete designs from Mr. Royce and the first of these we hope to have running early next week.
