Dear Mr. Bayles, Replying to your letter of the 8th instant, I am very sorry that I do not consider it would be of much value having a further conference at your Works unless it could be of a nature in which the difference between our conception of what a cable should be and other people's, could be thrashed out. I am so very busy at the moment that I am afraid I could not spare the time excepting it was for this particular purpose. I think you will understand my point of view.
