Modification to the S.S. electrical system, disconnecting the green lamp coil to prevent dynamo polarity reversal.

X4040 We wish to confirm that on all the six cars we will have to disconnect the electrical connection for the coil operating the green lamp, as otherwise as EFC. has pointed out there will be a danger of reversing the dynamo polarity. In the meantime Mr. Davis is getting out a scheme for a switch box which will include a separate connection for the green lamp operating coil, which will be broken at the time the dynamo charge is switched off. We are afraid this will modify the switchbox considerably, and will take a little time. Until, however, the new box is ready it will be necessary to leave the connection referred to above out.
