Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 27th. ult. together with [strikethrough]sample[/strikethrough] thin mineral oil viscosity curve which you think will be suitable for our shock absorbers. From tests we have made with various oils up to date, we fear that an oil such as you suggest would be too thin for our purpose. We wonder whether you could let us have an oil with a viscosity approximating to curve 'B' on the attached graph. We think that this would meet our requirements.
