W.F. BURGESS - SEC'Y. & TREAS. L.J. LORANGER - SALES MANAGER J.G. DONALDSON - ASST. SALES MANAGER E.E. WEMP - ENGINEERING COUNSEL F.B. HERZ - CHIEF ENGINEER R.C. ZEIDLER - ASST. ENGINEERING MANAGER C.E. DOMBROWSKI - ASST. MANUFACTURING MANAGER J.R. DRYDEN - ASST. MANUFACTURING MANAGER Rolls-Royce Limited, Derby, England. Attn. Mr. W.A. Robotham. Gentlemen: We have your letter of the 7th, glad you are back home safe and I trust that we shall have the pleasure of a visit from you again before very long. In the meantime I want to advise you that we are shipping you today six driven plate assemblies - that is, driven plate plus the cushion segments and the linings but, of course, without the hubs. rec'd When you were here you asked us to bring through nine and we shipped three to New York and six to you, which I understand were your instructions. Your order No. 40569 which you mailed to us covers twelve sets of 13-1/2 clutch linings and I am just wondering if this should not have been sent direct to Thermoid Rubber Company because they ship these linings direct to you and I will get in touch with Mr. Ross and tell him we have this order. I might mention that these linings were shipped to you on March 27th according to information we have received from Mr. Ross and very likely they are at your plant now. With kind regards, I am Yours very truly, LONG MANUFACTURING DIVISION BORG-WARNER CORPORATION [Signature of L.J. Loranger] Sales Manager. LJLoranger/KB. | ||
