X8430 Work is being carried on satisfactorily. 46-PK car should be finished early next week. 93-NK car is dismantled - body and fittings are at Sanderson's for repairs etc. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} is carrying out the Fan tests on 44-PK which we hope will be finished today. We shall then carry on with the other test - Exhaust - Clutch etc. We have completed the tests on the Hispano Steering - blue print attached giving particulars. On Saturday morning, we tried a few tests with torque reaction dampers fitted to 44-PK car. Tightened up and off, very little difference could be detected either way, but we are waiting for car to carry out further tests, meanwhile front torque reaction dampers have been fitted. I believe Mr. Coverley has already sent you report in connection with the Steering tests. Mr. Stent is here on the 4-speed Gearbox job - 20 HP. GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} | ||
