It is I should say very easy for anyone driving this car on the lower gears to exceed the safe limit of revs because, as you say, the engine does its work so smoothly and without any fuss, and the silent second of course rather encourages one to use that gear more.

I cannot think of any occasion on Saturday last when I ran the engine revs up to the maximum on low gears, in fact I think I only ran fast on second on one occasion up Putney Hill, on which the car performed brilliantly, but I don't suppose for a moment I reached 4,500 revs.

We shall be very pleased to have the opportunity of trying the car again if you can send it down on Friday night, and we can then give you the result of our impressions.
