x8060 To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG12.7.28. RE. PHANTOM ROCKER BRACKETS. x8090 Owing to the uneven expansion of the steel and duralumin brackets causing uneven valve clearance, we should suggest that we go back to all steel brackets as soon as possible. This would also lessen the trouble experienced of the biting in of the rocker bearings into the brackets. As reported we should lift the present steel bracket .003" to overcome the unequal expansion.
