The above tests were to be carried out with the present side injection piston but Tweedie would like us to try a piston having a pear shaped cavity in the head as in the Maybach engines. R.R. Combined pump and Injector. While we are waiting for the Scintilla pump Tweedie agrees to our proceeding with tests on the R.R. combined pump and injector. This pump has been thoroughly tested on the pump rig and it is hoped to be able to co-relate these with the engine tests. Reports are to be submitted monthly as previously. Ha/ L.R.Underwood. | ||
