We understand that you had already covered 3,000 miles on CW. oil before receiving our memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}1/AP. 4.8.37 and in these circumstances recommend that you carry on as follows. Take a sample of oil, then fit the new number 4 cartridge. Retaining the existing oil in the engine, take samples every 1000 miles to see if any improvement in its condition takes place.
