Bm.3/ET.20.2.41 - 3 -

The importance of getting this car running about was stressed by the technical people present. It was the only way in which the desirability or otherwise of a 4-cylinder engine could be determined.

The material for this body has been procured, and suffi-cient drawings to enable the prototype to be manufactured will be completed in a few weeks.

Manufacture of Parts. - He. pointed out that the manufacture of parts not connected with War work was not easy under war time conditions, and there-fore production would have to be confined to vital pieces. It was agreed that, to begin with, the Myth engine in the 10 H.P. size and the front sus-pension should be put in hand. He. also asked that the pedals should be made.

The possibility of getting other parts fabricated will be reviewed at the next meeting.

Drawing Office Capacity. - It was pointed out that the whole of the existing skeleton staff of the chassis division were now working on tank and gun installation, with the exception of the three men working for Bm/BAG. on bodies. No further chassis design or detail work will therefore be pos-sible for some considerable time.

NEXT CHASSIS MEETING.

It was agreed that the next chassis meeting would be called in about six weeks time, or when some progress has been made which is worth discussing.
