LEAMINGTON SPA.

For the attention of Mr. Parnell.

Dear Sirs,

We are sending you a print of an experimental scheme for mounting a tandem master cylinder on a Phantom III chassis. When you have examined it, will you kindly return it to us with your comments, if any.

After a very considerable delay, we have managed to interest our Design Dept. in the Lockheed system, and this will be to our mutual advantage.

We thought that our slowness in getting this system on one of our experimental cars might have occasioned some annoyance on your part since the Lockheed components have been supplied gratis; therefore, about the time of the Olympia Show we unsuccessfully attempted to discuss on the telephone with Mr. Parnell the possibility of our paying, at least, part of your expenses. However, this offer was refused by the gentleman who answered the telephone, and who did not give his name.

As regards your enquiry as to the type of oil resisting rubber we use on aero engines for pressure hoses, we are able to assure you that the only hose we use is supplied by yourselves.

Yours faithfully,

For ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
