ACCESSORIES.

Hr4/H10.1.22.

Reference your Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}20/BM/6.1.22 to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} which he has passed on to me, and asked me to make investigations.

Mr. Hives, Mr. Bailey and myself met this morning, and the following decisions were come to :-

(1) Two or three different types of funnel have been sent down to Mr. Day at West WitteringHenry Royce's home town for a decision. As R.{Sir Henry Royce} is ill at the moment Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} has asked me to write to Mr. Day and asked him to give a decision right away. I am writing to Mr. Day at once and ask him to send his decision on direct to you so as to save time.

(2) Rapson Jacks. It was agreed that Rapson Jacks could be fitted as long as the fittings were exactly the same as those on 81-TW.

(3) Tyre Pumps. It was thought that hand pumps which we now issue free with the chassis were out of date, and that we ought to issue foot pumps with our chassis free of charge in future. Mr. Hives is making tests with the "Kismet" Duplex foot pump. Will you kindly send him your new Dunlop foot pump, so that he can make tests with that?

(4) Eural Horn Fitting. It was agreed that they had no objection to this fitting if a man specially demands it, although they were not particularly fond of it.

(5) Schrader Tyre Pressure Gauge. There was no objection to this. We do not need to see a sample as we know them.

(6) Pyrene Fire Extinguishers. There was no objection to this being used in the garage, but it was thought it would be bad policy to recommend people to carry a fire extinguisher on the chassis.

(7) Step Mats. There was no objection to either of these makes of mat. Thought it would best to leave it to customer.
