Dear Mr. Skinner,

Thank you for your letter of yesterday's date.

I am pleased to note that you will shortly be in a position to let us have a modified type of Float Chamber.

With regard to the non-inductively wound coils in the Fuel Pump, we have not experienced the trouble in starting up to which you refer, but we realise that probably we lose a certain amount of magnetic power by removing your standard resistance winding.

Under the circumstances it seems necessary to increase the main winding to make up for the loss. If you will please let us know the number of turns on both the main and resistance coils we will calculate the necessary increase of turns for the main coil to over-come the trouble.

Yours sincerely,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
