Sole Manufacturers of
THE GIRLING UNIVERSAL BRAKE.

Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. Robotham.

With reference to yours of the 23rd inst., we have looked into the question of supplying you with a front axle forging, we to machine the spring pads and then send on the axle to you for Jig Drilling the Stub Ends.

Turning the front and rear Backing Plates out of the solid, getting pattern for the new shoes, and supplying you with GIRLING BRAKES on the front and rear axles complete, the estimated cost for the whole job would be round about £55.

Very frankly, if we found that we could reduce this price we would definitely submit any reduction to you.

We sincerely trust you will instruct us to proceed and we will definitely promise you to submit the GIRLING end of the scheme before putting into production here.

If you could give us instructions to proceed right away we could supply to you the complete job in about 4 to 5 weeks time at the outside.

May we kindly hope to hear from you?

With many thanks.

Yours faithfully,
for NEW HUDSON LTD.
WORKS MANAGER.
