To D/Em. From EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} X5830 EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/H28.3.27. RE. SALOON CAB DE VILLE - INDIA. X.5770 X.5830 X.5390 The body for the above is nearing completion at Hoopers and we wonder whether you have got a chassis which you could send to them to mount it on. It is a subframe body and has the latest shortened 'raked' column. If you could send a chassis it would enable them to complete the wings and valances, and at the same time would facilitate the delivery of the body. If they cannot have a chassis we shall ask them to supply you with a set of std. wings and valances and you will have to rebuild them to suit the subframe mounting. We suggest that, since there would appear to be no great rush to obtain this body, it would be wise to either wait for its chassis or to use an existing 'twenty' as a carrier if it can be spared for a couple of weeks. We would be glad to have your remarks on this subject. BA/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
