RE. POSITION OF COLUMN AND SIDE LEVERS FOR OUR CARS.

In conjunction with Sales Dept., we have been tryign to avoid the "B" position of the above, and have suggested that the "A", "C" and "D" should be sufficient.
We are advocating this, as we feel that the difference between the "A" and "B" columns is only very slight, and think that we should not lose any custom or have any trouble with the Coachbuilders so long as they knew that there were only these three standards, whereas it would considerably assist us in manufacturing them, as well as reducing the number of parts for changeovers, spares, etc.
Mr. Cowen pointed out that in looking up the erection instructions of the last 300 chassis which were erected before we stopped building, he finds that the percentages of types of columns was as follows :-

"A" column - 33%
"B" " - 23½%
"C" " - 23½%
"D" " - 20%
