1280 EXPERIMENTAL DEPT. Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Std.9/JH. 24th May, 1938. Messrs. Clayton Dewandre Ltd., Titanic Works, Lincoln. For the attention of Mr. Willet. Dear Sirs, We have obtained a radiator matrix made by Messrs. Sercks which is claimed to be of a new and extremely effective design and would be interested to know whether you would test this for us for comparison with previous test figures with which you have been good enough to supply us. If you are agreeable to this will forward to you the matrix unit complete with tanks etc. and would like you to make the test at your earliest convenience, as we wish to fit the unit to a car for road tests. Anything you can do to help us in this direction will be appreciated - we are hoping to hear more from you about the automotive development of the Still tube type matrix which Mr. Blomeley mentioned to the writer as being the best yet albeit impracticable to manufacture at the moment. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
