C. to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. EXHAUST SYSTEM.

Replying to BY/CGH{W Clough}4/G12232., we send herewith N. sch. 3434. shewing a re-arrangement of the rear support of the silencer.

Full particulars were not given on N. scheme 3352., The suggestion is that we should use the existing P. 2. bracket on the silencer, and since the forward end is going to be the one longitudinally rigid, this rear one should be somewhat flexible. We have therefore shewn a rather long flexible bracket.

All the pieces - with the exception of this bracket- are intended to be existing P. 2.
