W.A. Robotham, Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Mr. Robotham,

We have gone through your job again very carefully, and cannot alter our original bolt centres. Therefore, I enclose Drawing No. B.141 AF, giving the bolt centres we require. Would you please arrange to have the cylinder barrel casting made, leaving all water holes blank.

With regard to the cost of this job, it is very difficult at this stage to give a really accurate estimate, although without committing ourselves, I think that £500 would perhaps cover the job, providing you supply patterns and castings.

You will appreciate that the set-up time will be fairly long in machining the cylinder head and the making of various experimental rigs for testing same. Immediately I hear from you, we will complete detailed drawings of cylinder head casting; forward same to you, and perhaps you would make arrangements to pick up the engine as arranged.

We return your tracing herewith, along with our drawing.

Yours sincerely.,

for F.M. ASPIN & CO. LTD.,

F.M. Aspin
MANAGING DIRECTOR.
