Dear Sirs, Enclosed herewith, we send you L.452. We would like to know how soon you could supply say 26 such pistons. For trials purposes you will, we presume, produce these as sand castings. We would like to know therefore, how long it would take to produce a die, in order to follow up with die-cast pistons later. These will be used in a 12-cylinder vee engine, developing 600 B.H.P. with R.P.M. not exceeding 2000. We would like your suggestions re material and, in the mean-time, we are completing a detail drawing. Will you please let us have your comments at your earliest convenience. Yours faithfully, | ||
