Referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/LG.14.5.29. we take it that the information you incorporate in the memo in question is intended to operate after the first 50 cars, since we have, with the Experimental Department's agreement, instructed the first 50 sets to the standard length of lever with 30º cams.

In view of the foregoing therefore we propose to instruct for all chassis from the 51st in J.2 series onwards in accordance with your memo quoted above.
