Dear Sirs, We have to acknowledge receipt of your communication of the 4th.inst. Remarks outlined are appreciated and we await receipt of No.3. plate,together with two hubs and rivets. Upon receipt of this material we will arrange to modify two plates which will be known as No. 5. and No.6. These assemblies to be fitted with moulded facings, and to have horse shoe slots. A further plate No.7. we are arranging to deliver as soon as possible, having flat disc, but with compound cushion segments. This assembly will also be fitted with moulded facings. We would confirm telephone conversation of this morning when we advised that the two outstanding 11" clutches, one 11.A3. and one 11.A6. were despatched per Passenger Train this morning - but due to the uncertainty of the connections we regret it was impossible to give you a definite time of arrival at Derby. It was estimated that it will be either 1.30. or 2.45. Assuring you in the meantime of our fullest co-operation.
