Abandoning an experiment to oil a clutch leather in favour of a cotton belting clutch.

| X872 Mr Barrington for Technical Committee. Report on Experiment. Oil to be fed on Clutch leather each time disengared. I have tested the above as instructed by Techical Committee, see minutes of 96 Meeting, but although same is an improvement it is not so satisfactory as cotton belting clutch which we are now pushing ahead with, & we are abandoning the above experiment in favour of the cotton belting clutch.
