Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} RHO E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner}5/HP.4.1.35. URGENT. Bentley Large Oil Pump. We send you herewith:- Lec.4288 showing the large oil pump which is to be used in conjunction with the 6 sets of lead bronze bearings. The oil pump is 50% larger in capacity than standard, the increased size being put into the depth of the gears. We also want a new cover and valve because the ground clearance at this point on the Bentley is small. Using a ball valve we have been able to slightly improve the present clearance. This pump should also be used for the scheme which you are doing for the hydraulic tappets. E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} Lec.4288 attached. | ||
