DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr.C.S. Steadman.

Further to your letter of the 26th October, we have carried out a further test at 30 lbs/sq.in. on a thermostat to Drawing No. BGA.2073A for a duration of 14 hours, and this did not result in any distortion.

As requested, we are sending you the thermostat which we tested for your inspection.

We also thank you for your letter of Oct. 27th. (Ref: Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.4/MH{M. Huckerby}).

We are making up two further thermostats with stiffer bottom plates, to open at 80°C. and with a hole .064"; otherwise, to our Drawing No. BGA.2073A. These will be forwarded to you to-morrow.

We have looked into the question of providing a stronger frame and can supply this, with slight alterations to existing tools, of 18 gauge material. This will also have the bottom plate strengthened as at present.

We have already quoted you a price of 6/- each for a quantity up to 400, but must now revise our quotation to 7/- each, approximately.

We should like you to test out the two
