NEW PHANTOMCodename for PHANTOM I SIX WORST FEATURES. In view of the progress made with the improvement of the recent six worst features on the New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I, certain items have been removed from the list and others promoted in their place. The list therefore, now reads as follows:- 1. Seizure and irregular action of slipper drives. 2. Squeaking and sticking of exhaust butterfly baffle. 3. Improved accessability for chassis lubrication, working towards a one point lubrication scheme. 4. Failure of petrol supply, filters or jet choking. 5. Tappet knocks and piston knocks when engine idling and under light loads. 6. Improvement in the clutch, both as regards stopping and smoothness of engagement. Freedom from jaggers. 7. Burning up of platinum points battery ignition; desirability of some form of battery charge indicator. 8. Overheating in the car front and back. The six worst features of the 20 h.p. will be considered very shortly and I will write you again regarding them. CWB. | ||
