The space at the bottom of cell is .8 inches and acid space at the top 1 3/8". The posts are of taper type and are connected by lead links burned to the posts. The plates are held to the cell lid{A. J. Lidsey} by a circular nut. The acid is prevented from creeping by a rubber washer placed on the under side of the lid.{A. J. Lidsey} The separators used are of wood and ebonite. The wood separators are of the ribbed wood type (see sketch) with the flat side coming in contact with the negative plate. The ebonite separators are perforated and come face to face with the positive plate and the ribs of the wood separators. Dimensions of plates. 11 plate Dagenite. Width 5 5/16 | ||
