BRAKES.
He complained that the brakes could be made to smoke when applied violently several times at high speeds. We allowed him to demonstrate this on 23-EX. which has our latest brakes. We pointed out that the car was not built for racing and that if he experienced any trouble under touring conditions we should be more impressed. He agreed that the general brake operation was infinitely preferable to that of the Bentley. We recommend that he is supplied with the latest brakes.

AXLE RATIO.
We persuaded him that a standard axle ratio would give him the best results.

SUSPENSION.
He thought the normal Phantom 11 suspension was too soft. He agreed to rely on us to give him what he wants. We recommend Seagrave's fittings.

PETROL TANK & SPARE WHEELS.
He insists on a 28 gallon petrol tank. We have such a tank designed with fuel gauge etc., but with it only one spare wheel can be carried at the back. He insists on two spare wheels. He wanted to carry two wheels at the side but has been told he must have them at the rear. We recommend that in this case we should allow the two wheels to be carried at the side. ( Com. Kidson will not have one at the side and one at the rear).
