| 2 224,539 tion and in what manner the same is to be performed, we declare that what we claim is :— 1. In or for an internal combustion 5 engine cylinder a liner sub-divided into two parts the joint between said parts being adjacent the zone of combustion but so placed that the upper piston rings will pass over the same during the operation 10 of the engine. 2. An internal combustion engine cylinder including a two-part liner made and arranged substantially as described with reference to the accompanying drawing. 15 Dated this 6th day of November, 1924.
