X.8770 To HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} S E C R E T. R2/M6.2.25. c. to CJ. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} A.{Mr Adams} C. 'V' SERIES - 98-NK. X.8770 Naturally I shall be very pleased to see Mr. Hives with the above model at his convenience, but do not let my wishes interfere with the more useful work of getting it right, or bring it here unfinished. When coming I shall be pleased if some good engine oil could be brought. We get the American Vacuum which I believe is entirely mineral, and a poor lubricator. The electric light engine will be badly worn I fear in a short time. I do not like thick oil, but want good body when hot either for gearbox or engine, and many such oils are troublesome when cold, and when warm as liquid as water if purely mineral, but mineral oils are permanent (unchangeable) Is the thin Ricardo Shell good? It seemed so at WW. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
